## How does Lambda Work

1. <mark style="color:red;">**Trigger**</mark>: Lambda functions are event-driven, meaning they execute when triggered by events. Triggers can include an HTTP request via API Gateway, an S3 bucket update, a message in an SQS queue, or even a scheduled event (cron job).
